dc.description.abstractРад описује друштвене услове који су владали Римским царством на прелому ера, као и културни миље из кога је проистекла јудеохришћанска апокалиптична мисао. Такође, настоји да представи и истакне различита схватања порекла Апокалипсе, односно да подвуче контроверзе које су неодвојиве од тог текста. Напокон, рад упућује на читав низ постојећих тумачења и могућности употребе апокалиптичне књижевности. Намера рада је да представи културни и политички контекст, што ће, другом приликом, олакшати антрополошку интерпретацију Откривења.sr
dc.description.abstractPaper presents political and cultural conditions suitably for emerging of apocalyptic literature and offers a description of social setup of Roman Empire, Judaic society division and emerging of early Christianity. Main aim is to show complex interconnection of apocalyptic literature, separation of church and synagogue, relationship with a cult of Emperor and competition with a gnostic communities and teachings in modern day western Turkey. Paper introduces different ways of interpreting Apocalypse to John, and different analysis of its structure. Also, it offers interpretations of symbols used by author and different views on idea of Millennium.en
