Субконверзија у српском језику (функционално-семантички аспект)

Abstract

This paper aims to show that, in the modern age, marked by the incorporation of computer technology into linguistic research, the digitization of lexicographical resources represents an important methodological step in modernizing the grammatical description of the Serbian language. We have elaborated on this issue on the basis of machine-readable copy of the Dictionary of the Serbian Academy, which comprises 18 volumes (letters: A–O) with over 250.000 lexical entries representing the latest stage of development of the contemporary Serbian language. From this copy of the Dictionary, we extracted all entries marked by lexicographical expression in service of (e. g. nouns in service of adjectives; adverbs in service of nouns etc.). This expression is formulated in order to describe cases of subconversion, where the word which belongs to one grammatical class is being used as a member of some other class, while retaining its main semantic and functional features. With this data, we then portrayed the main types of subconversion in the Serbian lexicon, by way of two analytical standpoints: from the basic meaning to its realization – and vice versa.

У раду се разматра субконверзија (или „служба речи“) као појава која је широко распрострањена у граматичком и речничком опису српског језика. На основу анализе конверзивних промена и њихове обраде у описној лексикографији, као и у литератури, описују се семантички модели према којима се одвија употреба речи у служби других граматичких класа. Рад истиче значај функционалног приступа за дефинисање „граничних појава“ на међупростору између граматике и лексике.
