О статусу стране лексике у речницима српског језика на примеру групе грецизама

Abstract

Циљ овог истраживања је да на одабраној групи примера проучи статус грецизама, као страног лексичког слоја, у речницима српског језика. У истраживању су коришћени описни речници РСА, РМС и РСЈ, и речници страних речи Алексић 1978, Вујаклија 1980, Клаић 1983 и Клајн, Шипка 2012. Резултати овог истраживања показују да се у описним и речницима страних речи научни и културни термини, као група најмање одомаћених речи, најчешће квалификују као стране речи, а лексика из световне сфере, као група највише одомаћених речи, најређе тако квалификује. Ипак, није у потпуности оправдано претпоставити да учесталост квалификовања ових речи као страних у речницима може бити самостални показатељ степена њихове одомаћености у српском језику, пошто таква претпоставка може навести на погрешне закључке о степену одомаћености појединих речи. Испоставља се да највећи број разматраних позајмљеница има и квалификатор језика порекла у описним речницима и сопствену одредницу у речницима страних речи, без много обзира на то у којој мери су одомаћене у српском језику.

This paper aims to examine the status of Grecisms in dictionaries of the Serbian language using a selected group of examples. The research is based on three descriptive dictionaries (РСА, РМС, and РСЈ2) and four dictionaries of foreign words (Алексић 1978, Вујаклија 31980, Клаић 61983, and Клајн, Шипка 62012). I made an ad hoc division of Grecisms into three groups, contemporary use being the main criterion: 1) church-religious terms; 2) profane terms; 3) international loanwords from the realms of science and culture. I made a random choice of an equal number of words for each of them and investigated whether these words had their entries in the dictionaries and whether they had the qualifier that indicated their Greek (or other) origin or not. It can be concluded that considered Grecisms are largely assimilated and have become an integral part of the vocabulary of the Serbian language since in the descriptive dictionaries all of them have their entries. Тhe results of this research show that in the descriptive dictionaries as well as in the dictionaries of foreign words, scientific and cultural terms, the group of least assimilated words, are most often qualified as foreign, and profane terms, the group of most assimilated words, are the least often qualified as such. However, it is not entirely justified to assume that the frequency of qualifying these words as foreign in dictionaries may be an independent indicator of the degree of their integration in the Serbian language, since such an assumption may lead to erroneous conclusions about the degree of integration of certain words. Most of the considered loanwords have the qualification of the language of origin in the descriptive dictionaries and their own entries in the dictionaries of foreign words, regardless of the extent to which they are assimilated into the Serbian language.
