О значењима лексема ватра и огањ у српском језику

Abstract

This paper analyzes the structure of the polysemantic nouns vatra and oganj and their polysemic derivatives (vatren, ognjen, ognjevit, ognjište). Due to their rich polysemantic and derivational structures, the lexemes vatra and oganj are parts of the lexicon which occupies a central place in the lexical system of the Serbian language. The results of the study show that the semantical varying of the nouns vatra and oganj create a variety of concepts, both physical and spiritual – vatra and oganj are names used to denote the weather, weapons, diseases, spiritual qualities of man, feelings, physical characteristics of animals, etc. Semantically scattered derivatives of the nouns vatra and oganj form their polysemantic structures based upon the nouns from which they were derived.

У раду ће бити анализиране полисемантичке структуре именица ватра и огањ и њихових полисемичних деривата (ватрен, огњен, огњевит, огњиште). На основу анализе покушаћемо да утврдимо семантички потенцијал анализираних лексема. Испитаћемо које су семе у семантичкој структури ових лексема најпродуктивније, а које су слабије активне, али и утврдити начин на који говорници концептуализују ватру.
