Nowadays Internet and SMS represent media for everyday communication, as well as for sending holiday greetings. Appropriate greeting cards for various occasions are available to users all around the world, where ever Internet exists. Authors of these “electronic-folk-greeting cards” are anonymous in most cases. In this paper I focused on analysis of SMS greeting cards in Serbia. There are many different categories of these cards. They can be sorted as those written in prose and those which are rhymed. According to the contents cards can be further divided into a number of sub-categories like: traditional cards, prayer cards, nationally oriented cards, friendly, love, and erotic cards, electronic magic cards, cards with political content and so on. On account of that I made a comparison with idea of Christmas and its meaning to Serbs in the old days.
