Збирка речи из призрена Димитрија Чемерикића као извор за проучавање језичке и културне интерференције на Косову и Метохији

Abstract

У раду се указује на значај збирке речи српског призренског говора Димитрија Чемерикића за проучавање језичке интерференције на фонетском, морфолошком, лексичком и синтаксичком плану у једној изразито мултиетничкој и мултилингвалној средини каква је град Призрен.

The collection of Dimitrije Čemerikić contains more than 15,000 words compiled during the first half of the 20th century. It represents the state of Serbian speech of Prizren which no longer exists. The long-term coexistence of various nations in Kosovo and Metohija has caused a significant interference of their languages and cultures. The aim of this paper is to emphasize the importance of this word collection for the study of language interference on phonetic, morphological and lexical levels in a multilingual and multiethnic environment as Prizren once used to be. Contrasting the lexical material analyzed with the facts from other Serbian speeches and other Balkan languages could help reveal more thoroughly some details about language interference, even in locations where evidence about languages in contact has, in a great measure or completely, already perished. Čemerikić’s collection is invaluable for its numerous illustrative observations and ethnographic descriptions incorporated into semantic definitions of words. Thus, through linguistic facts, enlightened is also the Turkish influence upon the Serbian Prizren community in the domains of everyday life, customs, religion, material and spiritual cultures.
