Приповедање о музици и уметности у Мемоарима Јакова Игњатовића

Abstract

У раду су представљени одабрани сегменти из Мемоара Јакова Игњатовића који доносе сведочанства о улози музичке праксе и уметности у животу српског народа на угарском подручју у XiX веку. Проткане успоменама на знамените личности, културно уметничка дешавања и разноврсне прилике за музицирање у приватној и јавној друштвеној сфери, пишчеве белешке су представљене као важан извор за истраживања историје српске музике. У посебном одељку рада, коментарисане су одлике Игњатовићевог приповедачког стила.

In this paper the Memoirs of Jakov Ignjatović are presented as an important testimony to the role of culture and art in the life of the Serbian people in the 19th century’s state of Hungary. The author’s Memoirs also provide a significant source of material for researchers of serbian music history. In the Memoirs, musical culture is presented as an important part of the general education and everyday-life culture of Serbs in the 19th century. Ignjatović wrote about famous persons, authors, poets and musicians. He described various cultural and artistic events, such as concerts and balls, and also different kinds of musical performances which were related to individuals and various social groups, such as home performances of songs or performances in the cafes of the time. Those notes give us detailed information about non-mainstream Serbian music of the time in the area of today’s Vojvodina and a broader region during the 19th century. As such, they are hugely inspirational to the researcher as a stimulus to the further research of secondary sources and testimonies to musical performance in the region at that time. This article also analyses Ignjatović’s commentary technique and narrative style. Those issues are discussed in relation to the writer’s work as a whole and also in relation to the poetics of realism, romanticism, biedermeier and classicism.
