Previously
Iličić
addressed
the Landesregierung
asking for permission
to tour
with his Theatre
company
the provinces
of Bosnia-
Hercegovina
and in
particular
Sarajevo.
Following
his approuved
guest
appearance
in Kostojnica,
Iličić
felt unjustly treated
and his guset
appearances
terminated.
He felt the need to address
the Emperor
Franz Joseph
himself
and
ask for justice.
It seems
that the petition
helped
and Iličić
was allowed
to tour
again. However,
some
14 years after
in 1895, Iličić
decided
to
address
the Emperor
again asking for protection
and help. The second
petition
contained
valuable
data
about
Ilčić’s
professional
and personal
life illuminating
as well the cultural
milieu
in Bosnian-
Hercegovin
during
the Austro-Hungarian
administration.
Morover,
it provided
valuable
da...ta
about
his own repertoire
that centered
mostly on historic
events of Serbian
history.
In spite
of much hardship
Iličić
strove
with
great
dedication
to further
the historic
knowledge
among the people
of
his extended
homeland.
