Владимир Д. Ласкарев : лик и дело у сећањима Петра Стевановића

Abstract

У првој половини 20. века, у домену геолошко-палеонтолошких наука у Србији и шире, у Југославији и у Европи, поред других угледних истраживача тог доба, изузетан научни допринос дао је академик Владимир Димитријевич Ласкарев. Лик и дело великана руске и српске геологије и палеонтологије осветљени су у овом прилогу захваљујући успоменама у радовима и белешкама Петра Стевановића, његовог ученика и следбеника, као и на основу скромне документације коју му је завештао Владимир Ласкарев, и других доступних извора.

Academician Vladimir Dmitrijevič Laskarev gave his outstanding scientifi c contribution to the geological-paleontological sciences not only in Russia and Serbia but also in Yugoslavia and Europe during the fi rst half of the 20th century. Th e portrait of the eminent Russian and Serbian geologist and paleontologist was made based on the memories and the published papers authored by Petаr Stevanović, his student and follower, as well as based on the rare archival documents bequeathed to him by Vladimir Laskarev, and other available sources. Th e Scientifi c Conference on Vladimir Dmitrijevič Laskarev was organized to mark the 150th anniversary of his birth, through the joint eff orts of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Serbian Geological Society. Th is was a unique opportunity to gain a deeper and more detailed insight into the character and work of this great man and scientist, who spent his whole life revealing the secrets of geology, and mentoring and teaching younger generations.
