Abstract
Author is analyzing the ornamental language structures found in VI and VII chapters of М. Сrnjanski's novel and their underlying semantic structures. Three ornamental language structures are defined: (1) first one highly generalized, (2) second one reduced to the concrete and (3) third one culminating in the sublimed euphemism, all of which make the narrator's message exposed to two extremely different perceptions of a modern reader. (a) The first perception will be founded on the literally intepreted language ornament vehicles that will lead the folklore interpreter to the conclusion of greatness of the nation capable to make the utmost sacrifices. (b) The second perception will be based on the semantic contents of language ornament vehicles and will lead the qualified interpreter to the conclusion on limited possibilities of a given group of people to make a valid distinction between the fiction and reality, because they take the words for things.
У чланку се анализирају тзв. орнаменталне лингвистичке структуре у језику М. Црњанског и њихова основна семантичка структура.
