Manastir Vaskrsenje Hristovo između religijskih i sekularnih diskursa

Abstract

Polazeći od teze Džona Ida (John Eade) i Majkla Salnaua (Michael Sallnow) da su svetilišta arene za sukobljavanje različitih diskursa u ovom radu pokušaću da prikažem kako različiti akteri (lokalno stanovništvo, gosti, predstavnici lokalne vlasti i predstavnici crkve) interpretiraju podizanje i obnovu manastira Vaskresenje Hristovo u selu Dobri Do kod Pirota. Jedan od glavnih ciljeva rada jeste da kroz ovu studiju slučaja prikaže da u pozadini podizanja ili obnove manastira ne stoje uvek i nužno verski razlozi niti verske potrebe, već širi dijapazon motiva kojima se rukovode akteri obnove.

Starting with the thesis of John Eade and Michael Sallnow that a shrine is “an arena for the interplay of a variety of imported perceptions and understandings, in some cases finely differentiated from one another, in others radically polarized” (Eade and Sallnow 2013, 10), in this paper I will try to show how different actors (local people, guests, representatives of local authorities and representatives of the church) interpret the building and reconstruction of the monastery Resurrection of Christ in the village of Dobri Do near Pirot. One of the main aims of the article is to show through this case study that in the background of the raising or restoration of the monastery there are not always religious reasons or religious needs, but a wide range of motives that are managed by various actors.
