Abstract
In this paper, the properties of metallic binders based on Co, Fe, bronze and their influence on mechanical characteristics of metallic binder-diamond composites, obtained by hot pressing of these powders, were analyzed. At the same time, the influence of the metallic powder aging process on the mechanical characteristics of metallic binder compacts and corrosion of diamond grain, conditioned by the oxygen bonded to metallic powder particles, were separately considered. ©2000 The Japan Institute of Metals.
