Шест писама Стојана Новаковића Владану Ђорђевићу 1893. године

Abstract

У раду су анализирана писма Стојана Новаковића, која је током 1893. године упутио Владану Ђорђевићу, оновременом српском посланику у Атини. У писмима је Новаковић покренуо читав низ најразличитијих тема, од економских и политичких, преко династичких, па све до научних и верских питања. Сачувана писма представљају прави драгуљ за истраживаче историје Србије друге половине 19. столећа, а посебно аналитичара друштвено-политичких па и међупартијских односа у периоду владавине краља Александра Обреновића. Писма потврђују оцену о Новаковићу као добро обавештеном, систематичном и проницљивом познаваоцу ондашњег српског друштва, чије анализе и закључци пружају како потврду познатих чињеница тако и сасвим нове, за науку вредне податке, неопходне за сагледавање потпуније и заокруженије слике нашег народа у овом бурном и догађајима богатом времену.

There are many documents concerning Vladan Đorđević, which belong to the extensive, content-wise diverse and from a scientific point of view highly significant manuscript legacy of Academician Viktor Novak, which is stored in the SASA Archives in Belgrade. The paper analyses six letters written by Stojan Novaković, which he sent to Vladan Đorđević in 1893, while he served as Serbian envoy to Athens. Academician Novak copied the content of the letters from the original manuscripts with the intention of publishing them on some occasion. However, these letters have never been published for reasons unknown to us. In these extensive and interesting letters, Novaković touched on a number of different issues concerning economy and politics, dynasty, science and religion. The preserved part of the letters is a real gem for researchers dealing with the history of Serbia in the second half of the 19th century, and especially for those who focus on the analysis of social and political, and even inter-party relations during the rule of King Aleksandar Obrenović. The letters confirm the assessment of Novaković as someone who was well-informed, systematic, shrewd and well acquainted with the then Serbian society, whose analyses and conclusions provide both, the confirmation of known facts as well as brand new, scientifically valuable data, necessary for obtaining a more complete picture of our people in those turbulent and eventful times.
