Владан Ђорђевић и Српско учено друштво

Abstract

На основу архивских извора који се тичу Владана Ђорђевића а налазе се у рукописној заоставштини академика Виктора Новака у Архиву САНУ у Београду, и на основу архивске грађе Српског ученог друштва, која је објављена у двема књигама, аутор је приказао односе Ђорђевића с Друштвом од времена његових студија у Бечу до дана када је постао министар просвете и црквених дела. Из рада сазнајемо који су и из којих области први радови В. Ђорђевића, које је понудио Друштву за штампање у „Гласнику”, када је 1869. године био изабран за редовног члана Друштва. Сазнајемо и ко су били рецензенти његових радова, како су оцењени и када су објављени. Аутор је објавио и једно занимљиво и досад непознато Ђорђевићево писмо које се односи на начин рада СУД. Посебно је приказан Ђорђевићев однос према Друштву из времена када је био министар просвете и црквених дела, када је, због оснивања Краљевске српске академије, на дневном реду било укидање Друштва.

On the basis of archival sources concerning Vladan Đorđević, which belong to the manuscript legacy of Academician Viktor Novak stored in the SASA Archives in Belgrade, and on the basis of archival material of the Serbian Learned Society, which was published in two books, the author shed light on Đorđević’s relations with the Society from the time of his studies in Vienna up to the day when he became the Minister of Education and Church Affairs. At his own request, he was included in two sections – the section of natural and mathematical sciences and the section of literary science and philosophy. We learn from the paper the titles of V. Đorđević’s first articles and to which field of study they belonged, which he submitted to the Society to be published in Glasnik, when he was elected a full member of the Society in 1869. We also learn who the peer-reviewers of his articles were, and whether they were accepted for publication and when they were published. We also learn from the paper that his first medical article on lymphorrhea was not accepted for publishing by peer-reviewers Dr Sava Perović and Dr Jovan Valente. The author also published an interesting and hitherto unknown letter written by Đorđević that shed light on how the SLS functioned. The paper particularly focuses on Đorđević’s attitude towards the Society at the time when he was the Minister of Education and Church Affairs, when, due to the establishment of the Serbian Royal Academy, the abolition of the Society was on the agenda.
