Anodizing/Anaphoretic Electrodeposition of Nano-Calcium Phosphate/Chitosan Lactate Multifunctional Coatings on Titanium with Advanced Corrosion Resistance, Bioactivity, and Antibacterial Properties

AB  - The aim of this work was to investigate corrosion resistivity, bioactivity, and antibacterial activity of novel nano-amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) potentially multifunctional composite coatings with and without chitosan oligosaccharide lactate (ChOL), ACP + ChOL/TiO2 and ACP/TiO2 ACP + ChOL/TiO2, respectively, on the titanium substrate. The coatings were obtained by new single-step in situ anodization of the substrate to generate TiO2 and the anaphoretic electrodeposition process of ACP and ChOL. The obtained coatings were around 300 ± 15 μm thick and consisted of two phases, namely, TiO2 and hybrid composite phases. Both ACP/TiO2 and ACP + ChOL/TiO2 have improved corrosion stability, whereas the ACP + ChOL/TiO2 coating showed better corrosion stability. It was shown that at the very start of the deposition process, the formation of the ChOL/TiO2 layer takes place predominantly, which is followed by the inclusion of ChOL into ACP with simultaneous growth of TiO2. This deposition mechanism resulted in the formation of strongly bonded uniform stable coating with high corrosion resistance. In vitro bioactivity was investigated by immersion of the samples in simulated body fluid (SBF). There is in-bone-like apatite formation on both ACP/TiO2 and ACP + ChOL/TiO2 surfaces upon immersion into SBF, which was proven by X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. While ACP/TiO2 shows no antibacterial activity, ACP + ChOL/TiO2 samples exhibited three- to fourfold decreases in the number of Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, respectively, after 420 min. The probable mechanism is binding ChOL with the bacterial cell wall, inhibiting its growth, altering the permeability of the cell membrane, and leading to bacterial death.

AB  - Крајем 2020. године едиција Монографије Института за српски језик САНУ обогаћена је књигом Стане Ристић и Иване Лазић Коњик под називом Когнитивни правац у српској етнолингвистици – почеци развоја и актуелни проблеми. Теме обрађене у овој монографији резултат су вишегодишњих истраживања ауторки на пољу когнитивно оријентисане етнолингвистике. У теоријско-методолошком смислу, та су истраживања заснована на поставкама Јежија Бартмињског, оснивача и главног представника познате и активне когнитивне етнолингвистичке школе у Лублину. Лублинска методологија подразумева ширење корпуса језичке грађе, будући да се у истраживањима користи језички материјал различитог порекла: системски подаци, анкетни подаци и подаци из текстова различитих стилова и жанрова, којима се додаје и материјал из електронских језичких корпуса (по традицији ове школе, извори се означавају скраћеницом САТ). Књига доноси одговоре на бројна разноврсна питања везана за нов правац у српској етнолингвистици – когнитивни, која се разматрају и са теоријског аспекта (преглед стања етнолингвистике у Србији, објашњење терминолошког система когнитивне етнолингвистике и сл.) и са практичног аспекта (реконструкција одређених концепата и примена резултата когнитивне етнолингвистике у лексикографији).

AB  - to the field of linguistics can be divided into two thematic wholes: 1) the description of the
logic category of notion as opposed to the linguistic category of word, and 2) the logic representation
of јudgement in relation to the linguistic representation of sentence. In this paper we analyze philosophical
views of Ljubomir Nedić in relation to the two abovementioned wholes. Then we proceed to
consider the significance of Nedić’s scientific views in the context of the Serbian linguistics at the end
of the 19th century.
AB  - Филозофска мисао Љубомира Недића која стоји у непосредној вези са лингвистиком
може се класификовати у две тематске целине: 1) опис основних одлика појма као логичке
категорије у односу на реч као категорију граматичког система, и 2) опис логичке представе суда у односу на лингвистичку представу реченице. У раду се износе и анализирају филозофски погледи Љ. Недића која стоје у вези са обе изложене целине, а затим се разматра
значај тих погледа за српску лингвистику с краја 19. века.

AB  - Савремена словенска дијалектологија усмерена је на расветљавање феномена дијалекатске језичке слике света као територијално ограниченог сегмента националне језичке
слике света. Актуелна истраживања у овој области науке о језику, посебно у русистици,
дају значајне резултате у реконструисању модела концептуализације и категоризације
објективне стварности у свести носилаца народних говора и њиховој језичкој интерпретацији и репрезентацији. Комбиновање модерних теорија и методолошких механизама,
пре свега лингвокогнитивистичких и лингвокултуролошких, показало се као адекватан
поступак у анализи дијалекатског материјала. Дијалекатска лексика сагледава се као одраз
погледа на свет и менталитета дијалекатске језичке личности, а дијалекатски речници постају најрелевантнији извори за проучавање лингвокултурних специфичности конкретне
говорне заједнице. Наш циљ је оријентисан на приказ модела концептуализације стварности дијалекатске језичке личности и вербалну манифестацију одређених културних /
аксиолошких концепата на дијалекатској језичкој слици света српског језика, с обзиром
на чињеницу да се дијалекти одликују богатим културолошким потенцијалом, чије проучавање са становишта лингвокултурологије шири могућности језичких истраживања. У
раду ћемо представити реализацију концепта (не)хигијене у језичком сазнању носилаца
призренско-тимочких говора, његову когнитивну интерпретацију и вербалну манифестацију на призренско-тимочкој дијалекатској слици света и покушати да издвојимо специфичне лингвокултурне елементе који одсликавају карактеристике менталитета и погледа
на свет ове говорне заједнице.
AB  - Contemporary Slavic dialectology is focused on shedding light on the phenomenon of the dialectical
image of the world as a territorially limited segment of the national linguistic image of the
world. Current research in this field of language study, especially in Russian studies, is the source of
significant results for the reconstruction of the model of conceptualization and categorization of objective
reality in the consciousness of the bearers of national speech and their linguistic interpretation and
representation. The combination of modern theories and methodological mechanisms, primarily linguocognitive,
anthropocentric, linguocultural has proven itself to be an adequate procedure in the analysis
of dialectical material. Dialectical lexis is viewed as an adequate reflection of the world view and
the mentality of the dialectical linguistic persona, and dialectical dictionaries have become the most
relevant sources of study of linguacultural specificities of a specific speech community. A linguocultural
approach to the dialectical lexical system enables the extraction of cultural components contained
in the semantic content of the linguistic units in which we find accumulated information on the way of
thinking, life and traditional culture of a community. The paper presents the realizations of certain axiological
and cultural concepts in the linguistic knowledge of the bearers of the Serbian folk speeches
and their manifestation in the Serbian dialectical (Prizren-Timok) linguistic image of the world.

AB  - У раду се анализира укрштање социолингвистичких и лингвистичких фактора
у дефинисању „језикâ” на средишњем исечку јужнословенског континуума – простору
српскога језика, с богатом документарном посведоченошћу његова имена. Логичким и
лингвистичким законитостима спајају се дијахронијска и синхронијска перспектива, у
циљу утврђивања опсега овога језика у хронолошки и географски задатим оквирима.
AB  - This study focuses on the analysis of the South Slavic language landscape in diachronic and
diatopic frameworks, in the centre of which stand the field distribution and the linguistic autonomy

AB  - Језичка анксиозност представља осећај нелагоде, тензије или неке врсте непријатности која се јавља када се говорник нађе у ситуацији која од њега захтева да на одређени начин употребљава језик или језички варијетет којим не влада у потпуности. Истраживање је предузето с циљем да се испита појава језичке анксиозности код говорникâ косовско-ресавског дијалекта при контакту са стандардним језиком. Истраживањем су обухваћени и поједини аспекти који се тичу ставова говорникâ према сопственом дијалекатском говору и према стандардном језику. Резултати добијени овим истраживањем могу бити од користи за даља истраживања ове појаве, будући да на материјалу српских народних говора досад нису вршена.
AB  - Language anxiety is a feeling of nervousness, tension or some kind of discomfort that occurs when a speaker finds himself in a situation that requires the use of a language or a language variety with which the speaker is not fully proficient. This research was undertaken with aim of examining the occurrence of language anxiety within the speakers of Kosovo-Resava dialect when they come in contact with the standard language. The research also covers certain aspects concerning the attitudes of speakers towards their own dialect and towards the standard language. The results obtained by this research can be useful for further research of this phenomenon, since this kind of research has not been carried out so far on the material of Serbian dialects.

Modified glycine nitrate procedure synthesis and properties of nanostructured Ca1-xGdxMnO3 (x=0.05; 0.1; 0.15; 0.2)

AB  - Nanocrystalline manganites Ca1-xGdxMnO3(x=0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2) were synthesized by a modified glycine-nitrate procedure. The subsequent studies were focused on the structural, microstructural and magnetic changes of the starting materials induced by calcination and sintering. Thermal treatments of the green bodies were carried out by conventional sintering method. Phase evolution, lattice parameters, chemical composition and magnetic properties were monitored by Differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD),Induction coupled Plasma Atomic Emission (ICPES), Scanning electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy SEM/EDS and magnetic measurements on Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (Squid).DTA revealed phase transition at ≈918ºC.Chemical analysis has been done by ICPES and EDSwhich confirmed that nominal composition has been attained for all samples. XRD data were analysed by Rietveld refinement which showed that orthorhombic perovskite structure, S.G. Pnma (62), persisted with the change of Gd content, while unit cell parameters depended on the composition. Magnetic measurements show that electron doping by Gd3+ ions substantially changes CaMnO3 antiferromagnetic behavior. After introduction of Gd3+ ions, significant ferromagnetic component appears due to an emergence of double exchange interaction between Mn3+-Mn4+ ions. This resulted in appearance of a low temperature plateau in field cooled magnetization diagram as well as in hysteresis loop with the relatively high coercivity up to 2300 Oe.

AB  - Experimental and theoretical methods have been used to investigate the octahedral tilting and related effects of Ca1-xGdxMnO3(x = 0.05; 0.1; 0.15; 0.2) compound. Both methods have shown that orthorhombic-perovskite structure (space group Pnma) is the most stable form and according to Glazer's classification belongs to a-b+a- tilt system. Bond valence calculations (BVC) have shown ten additional perovskite-related modifications of the equilibrium Ca1- xGdxMnO3 structure, and their stability has been investigated as function of Gd doping. We have further studied the influence of gadolinium amount on Mn-О bond angles and distances, tilting of MnO6octahedra around all three axes and deformation due to the presence of Jahn- Teller distortion around Mn3+ cation, and calculated the amount of Mn3+ in the system. BVC approach is a simple, fast and efficient way of calculating the amount of Mn4+ and Mn3+ in the doped perovskite compound, which, to the best of our knowledge, has not been done before. The infrared reflection spectra of Ca1-xGdxMnO3 samples confirmed XRD results that Ca1-xGdxMnO3 nanopowders are of Pnma-1 structure and that the tilting of octahedra are increased with Gd doping. The EPR (electron paramagnetic resonance) spectra are in accordance with the assumption that EPR line width is Mn-O-Mn angle dependent. The studied samples showed that small octahedra tilting in these samples brought only a small change of the EPR line width.

The acquired results showed that the suggested method is more efficient in comparison with traditional metallographic or undercooling methods for the assessment of grain refining efficiency with the potential to extend the suggested approach on a wide range of metallic structures where solidification occurs by eutectic-type primary crystallization characteristics.

AB  - Treatment of liquid aluminum alloys in low vacuum conditions is often applied for parts production in the automotive and aerospace industry because of its effectiveness in removing dissolved gases. Because of the low vapour pressure of aluminum, concentrations of the most unwanted elements can be significantly reduced at lower pressures. Presented work analyzing kinetics parameters for elemental evaporation from liquid Al7Si4Cu alloy. The pressure inside mullite refractory material was below 2.1 kPa for melt temperatures between 760 and 910 °C. The alloy’s chemical composition was characterized by the Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry method. Lead, Zinc, and Mercury were reduced at the highest rate while the lowest evaporation occurred for key alloying elements such as Silicon and Copper. Higher evaporation rates were achieved at higher temperatures. The evaporation ratios, volatility coefficients, reaction rate constants, mass transfer coefficients, and elemental evaporation susceptibility on temperature increase were deduced for 16 elements. The obtained results confirmed that keeping molten aluminum alloys in low vacuum conditions for one hour is an efficient method in removing unwanted elements with great potential for further improvement in industrial conditions.

AB  - Solid-state reaction between BaTiO3 and Fe2O3 was used to produce a multiferroic heterostructure composite. Commercial BaTiO3 and Fe(NO3)3•9H2O were suspended in ethanol for 30 minutes in an ultrasound bath. The prepared mixture was thermally processed at 300 oC for 6 h. Sintering at 1300 oC for 1 h resulted in a mixture of different phases, BaTiO3, BaFe12O19 and Ba12Ti28Fe15O84, which were confirmed by x-ray powder diffraction. A dense microstructure with a small volume fraction of closed porosity was indicated by the scanning electron microscopy, while a homogeneous distribution of Fe ions over BaTiO3 phase was visible from energy dispersive spectroscopy mapping. Doping of BaTiO3 with Fe2O3 resulted in formation of magnetic hexaferrite phases, as confirmed by dielectric measurements that showed a broadened maximum of the permittivity measured as a function of temperature.

abstract = "Solid-state reaction between BaTiO3 and Fe2O3 was used to produce a multiferroic heterostructure composite. Commercial BaTiO3 and Fe(NO3)3•9H2O were suspended in ethanol for 30 minutes in an ultrasound bath. The prepared mixture was thermally processed at 300 oC for 6 h. Sintering at 1300 oC for 1 h resulted in a mixture of different phases, BaTiO3, BaFe12O19 and Ba12Ti28Fe15O84, which were confirmed by x-ray powder diffraction. A dense microstructure with a small volume fraction of closed porosity was indicated by the scanning electron microscopy, while a homogeneous distribution of Fe ions over BaTiO3 phase was visible from energy dispersive spectroscopy mapping. Doping of BaTiO3 with Fe2O3 resulted in formation of magnetic hexaferrite phases, as confirmed by dielectric measurements that showed a broadened maximum of the permittivity measured as a function of temperature.",

Electronic Properties of BZT Nano-Ceramic Grades at Low Frequency Region

AB  - Barium zirconium titanate ceramics were prepared using solid state reactions of BaCO3, TiO2 and ZrO2 at elevated temperatures. The prepared BZT was mechanically activated in the planetary ball mill from 0-120 min to achieve different powder grades from micro- to nanosized particles. After the powder characterization by XRD and SEM the samples were pressed in disc shape and sintered at 1100 and 1200 °C in the air. The sintered samples were characterized by SEM. After that the silver epoxy electrodes were deposited on sintered disc samples. The disc samples capacitance and resistivity were measured in the low frequency region from 1 Hz to 200 kHz using a low frequency impedance analyzer. Sintering temperatures and powder grades were used as parameters. Finally, specific resistance ρ, dielectric permittivity (ε' + jε") and tgδ were obtained from the impedance measurements. The trends in electronic properties were analyzed: the relaxation effect of the space charge (inter-granular electric charges) vs. sintering temperature and ceramic grades. These show that mechanical activation has a significant effect on electrical properties, resulting in generally improved overall performance.

AB  - An increasing lack of available therapeutic options against Acinetobacter baumannii urged researchers to seek alternative ways to fight this extremely resistant nosocomial pathogen. Targeting its virulence appears to be a promising strategy, as it offers considerably reduced selection of resistant mutants. In this study, we tested antibiofilm potential of four synthetic chalcone derivatives against A. baumannii. Compound that showed the greatest activity was selected for further evaluation of its antivirulence properties. Real-time PCR was used to evaluate mRNA expression of biofilm-associated virulence factor genes (ompA, bap, abaI) in treated A. baumannii strains. Also, we examined virulence properties related to the expression of these genes, such as fibronectin- and collagen-mediated adhesion, surface motility, and quorum-sensing activity. The results revealed that the expression of all tested genes is downregulated together with the reduction of adhesion and motility. The conclusion is that 2′-hydroxy-2-methoxychalcone exhibits antivirulence activity against A. baumannii by inhibiting the expression of ompA and bap genes, which is reflected in reduced biofilm formation, adhesion, and surface motility.

AB  - Cathodic material for sodium-ion rechargeable batteries based on NaxMnO2 were synthesized by glycine nitrate method and subsequent annealing at high temperatures. Different crystal structures with different morphologies were obtained depending on the annealing temperature: hexagonal layeredα-Na0.7MnO2.05 nanoplates were obtained at 850 ◦C, while 3-D tunnel structured Na0⋅4MnO2 and Na0⋅44MnO2, both with rod-like morphology, were obtained at 800 ◦C and 900 ◦C, respectively. Structural And Functional Investigation Of Fe/Pb/Zr-co-doped Barium Titanate Ceramics: From Theory To The Experiment

AB  - Mixtures of high purity powders of 50 mass% Fe, 4 mass% Pb, 3 mass% Zr and 43 mass% BaTiO3 were activated in a rotary ball mill for durations ranging from 30 min to 300 min; samples were then sintered in the air atmosphere for 2 hours at 1200 °C. Crystal structure prediction has been performed using Bond ValenceCalculation (BVC) method.Moreover, theoretical stability of theperovskite structure for synthesized and calculated Fe/Pb/Zr-codoped barium titanatecompounds has been investigated using the Goldschmidttolerance factor (Gt) and global instability index (GII).It was observed that magnetization of the system decreased after the sintering, with the most dramatic drop of 90.11% belonging to the sample activated for 150 min. In comparison with initial powders, X-ray powder diffractiondata confirmed the presence of newphases of BaFe12O19 and Ba1.696Ti0.228O3 in sintered samples. Utilizing the field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), it was found that with the increase of activation time the morphology of the samples progressed from irregural, spherical grains to mostly rod-like ones. Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis identified the presence of Pb and Zr occupying the same locations on the surface of sintered samples, whilst Fe was uniformly deployed regardless of the activation time.

AB  - Composer and ethnomusicologist Ernő Király, a striking avant-garde figure of Yugoslav music, fostered a specific approach and ‘anti-systemic and unconventional’ thought throughout his creative age. It is, thus, not surprising that this poetical foretoken is evident in the sphere of the vocal part of this composer’s works. An important factor that contributed to his artistic positioning was a private and professional collaboration with vocal artist and actress Katalin Ladik, which began during the seventh decade of the 20th century. The encounter of these two artists resulted in altogether relentless concord of two avant-garde and inventor artistic spirits. As Katalin Ladik said, they both learned much from this collaboration. For Ladik, this meant discovering the richness of traditional music Király zealously collected, and for Király, shaping his compositions with Ladik’s distinctive vocal performance and writing practices. The goal of this paper is to present the characteristics of vocal expression in Ernő Király’s work, starting from the mid-60s. Thus, I will look into the outcomes from Király’s and Ladik’s partnership in the context of the European (vocal) avant-garde of the second half of the 20th century.

The overview will be done following the first emergence of female-fronted bands in the late 1990s and the early 2000s, up to the most recent emergence of all-female metal bands. In comparison to the development of the international metal music scene, I will look into the genre predisposition and historical circumstances of frontwomanship (from symphonic metal to extreme metal subgenres) and look into the changing narrative of this overall male-dominated scene. Given that the female roles in metal bands are still, by and large, the ones of a vocalist, this paper will also give insight into the development of female vocals in metal – from more mainstream clean and operatic singing to the ‘underground’, extreme vocals.
