AB  - In this paper, we present the results of an experimental study about a novel fiber optical vibrometer, aimed to be used as a totally implantable fiber-optic microphone for hearing aids. The sensor head, implanted inside the human cadaver middle ear, detects the amplitude of the incus vibrations, which are produced by an external acoustical source. The probe beam of coherent vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) radiation is directed to the incus and the phase-modulated reflected beam is captured and demodulated. The problem of interferometric fading was solved using two quasi-quadrature signals, passively produced by the 3 × 3 single-mode fiber-optic coupler, processed by a special embedded algorithm. The implanted optoelectronic module works with very low-power consumption, performs real-time signal processing and outputs an analogue signal proportional to the incus vibration. The amplitude of the incus vibrations at different sound pressure levels (SPL) from 40 to 90 dB and at frequencies from 100 Hz to 10 kHz were measured by the implanted system. The system was evaluated on five cadaver skulls. The measured amplitudes were in the range of 1 pm to 5 nm, depending on the subjected skull and the applied sound pressure.

AB  - The aim of this research was to improve photo(electro)catalytic properties of BaTi1-xSnx (BTS, x = 0, 0.05, 0.10) powders. For that purpose we employed ZnO to prepare ZnO@BTS composite. In situ microwave processing of a ZnO precipitate on previously synthesized BTS particles was used to produce ZnO@BTS composites. The phase composition and crystal structure of BTS, ZnO and ZnO@BTS were examined by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The powders particles morphology was investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The optical properties were studied using UV-Vis diffuse reflectance (DRS) and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL). Linear voltammetry was used to examine the photoelectrochemical properties of the materials. Photocatalytic properties were tested based on the decolorization of methylene blue (MB) dye in the presence of powder particles, under the influence of simulated sunlight radiation. BTS powders have good electron transfer properties, which has been shown in their function as electrocatalysts, where they have shown better properties than ZnO and ZnO@BTS composites. In contrast, they showed poor photocatalytic efficacy. The precipitation of ZnO particles on BTS, by the method of microwave processing,
significantly improves the photocatalytic efficiency of the formed composites, concerning the starting BTS powders. Among the composites, ZnO@BT composite proved to be the most effective photocatalyst.

Integer Codes Correcting Single Errors within Two Bytes

AB  - This paper presents a class of integer codes suitable for use in optical networks with low error rates. The presented codes are constructed with the help of a computer and have two important features: first, they can correct single errors affecting one or two b-bit bytes, and second, they use processor-friendly operations to encode/decode data bits. The effectiveness of the presented codes is demonstrated on theoretical models of four-core and six-core processors. The obtained results show that the decoder throughput reaches 14.70Gbps, which is above the operating speed of 10G networks. Finally, the paper compares the proposed codes with BCH codes of similar properties. The comparison is made in terms of redundancy and the number of decoding operations.

Application of supercritical carbon dioxide for making perovskite photodiode

AB  - Perovskite solar cells reached high efficiency in a short period. When perovskite was applied for the first time as photovoltaics, power conversion efficiency (PCE) was less than 3 %. Up to now, PCE is over 29 %. In perovskite solar cells, the perovskite layer is an active layer that absorbs the visible part of the spectrum. To reduce the recombination of charge carriers, the construction of solar cells requires the existence of layers for holes and electrons. TiO2 is usually used as an inorganic electron transport layer because its conduction band (CB) lies under the CB of perovskite, so electrons could diffuse from CB of perovskite to CB of TiO2. For these experiments, TiO2 nanotubular structure was used due to its advantages compared to nanoparticular TiO2. TiO2 nanotubes provide a one-dimensional transmission channel for the charge carriers which will reduce the recombination of the carriers and provide a fast carrier transport. The TiO2 nanotubes were synthesized by anodization of Ti foil after which they were annealed at 450 °C for 1 h. Their inner diameter was ~ 103 ± 17 nm while the length was ~ 350 nm. Methylammonium lead bromide perovskite (MAPbBr3) was deposited on TiO2 nanotubes from the solution in dimethylformamide (DMF) by application of supercritical carbon dioxide at 35 °C and different pressures (100, 200, and 300 bar). It has been observed that supercritical CO2 improves the filling of nanotubes by the perovskite due to its stronger solubilizing power at higher pressures. A perovskite photodiode with an improved contact surface between TiO2 and perovskite was made, which is the basis for future solar cell construction. I-V characteristics show that the highest value of photocurrent under visible light reached 400 μA for the sample which was obtained at 35 ° C and 300 bar for 1 h. The absorption edge of prepared TiO2 nanotubes/MAPbBr3, determined by diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, was extended to the visible range. FESEM and XRD analyses also were done.

National Energy and Climate Planning in Serbia: From Lagging Behind to an Ambitious EU Candidate?

AB  - Just in the immediate neighbourhood of the European Union (EU), the Republic of Serbia, one of the Western Balkan (WB) EU candidate countries, is lagging behind in the process of energy transition regardless of technological advances and policy instruments available. The EU created a momentum for energy transition acceleration with the European Green Deal, which has been forwarded to the WB through the Energy Community secretariat in the form of the Green Agenda; generally speaking, response in the form of National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs) is expected in the short term. The Republic of Serbia’s Low Carbon Development Strategy with Action Plan (LCDSA) and the current Energy Strategy will be analysed, commented on, and improvements will be suggested for the acceleration of energy transition, based on the newest findings from the simulation-based optimization techniques using the sector coupling approach to achieve ambitious variable renewable energy shares. The motivation of this research is to provide decision makers in Serbia with the best available insights regarding sustainable energy system planning tools and possible shortcuts for delayed planning of activities. In addition, the purpose is to improve Serbia’s chance of benefitting from adoption of these strategies in the country’s faster transition towards EU membership. The research compares two scenarios to illustrate a possible policy shift from small hydro power plants to photovoltaics (PV). A further increase in PV and wind power plants has been simulated using the EnergyPLAN to achieve expected scenarios of 40% renewable energy share and some more ambitious ones—up to 80%, which is realistic only with the sector coupling approach.

AB  - Pendulum test is a method to quantify the spasticity. We used the goniogram recorded during the pendulum test to estimate the knee joint torque based on the model which considers spastic reflex activity. We fitted the exponential curve Th = ae-bt to the estimated knee joint torque to calculate the parameters a and b. We compared the scaled value log a/b with the modified Ashworth score. We used 8 sets of data collected in a clinical study with six complete paraplegic subjects. The comparison shows that the ratio a/b correlates with the MAS scores; thereby, can be used as a measure of spasticity. The advantage of using the ratio a/b is that this score is not rater dependent and that the scores are real numbers compared the MAS scores; thereby, providing better resolution of the level of spasticity.

AB  - We present the variability of the spasticity scores during three consecutive days using the case series clinical study data with spinal cord injured (SCI) subjects. We assessed the spasticity by the Pendulum Test (PT) and Ashworth Scale (AS) scores. We measured the spasticity on the three consecutive days before and after the period of the treatment. Three subjects with SCI participated in the study. We found large variability from day to day. The PT score had more significant variability compared with the AS. The results suggest that the three consecutive testing by using the pendulum test and PT score on different days provide a better assessment of spasticity being essential in evaluating the treatment protocol

AB  - U radu ce predlaže ideja generatora analognog diskretnog uniformnog šuma (GADUŠ) za primenu u stohastičkoj digitalnoj mernoj metodi. Predloženim rešenjem, za razliku od standardnog, koje koristi generator slučajnih brojeva i precizni i tačni digitalno-analogni konvertor (DAK), se prevazilazi problem ograničene rezolucije DAK-a i njegov uzak propusni opseg.
AB  - The paper proposes the idea of an analog discrete uniform noise generator for application in the stochastic digital measurement method. The proposed solution, unlike the standard one, which uses a random number generator and a precise and accurate digital-to-analog converter (DAK), overcomes the problem of limited DAK resolution and its narrow bandwidth.

Modelling of argon/dust pulsed plasma

AB  - A spatially-averaged model for an argon/dust pulsed plasma is developed in this study [1]. We analyze how the plasma properties depend on the shape of the electron energy probability function (EEPF), the pulsing frequency and the duty cycle. In addition, the case of dust-free plasma is considered.  It is found that the results of theory and experiment agree better if the assumed EEPF has a Druyvesteyn shape instead of a Maxwellian one. As an example, we compare electron and metastable atom densities for different plasma states. In particular, the model shows that in the presence of dust and at some pulsing frequencies the electron density decreases rapidly in the very beginning of the on-period. In our opinion, this decrease is due to an enhancement of electron collection by dust particles at the beginning of the on- period. Further, variation in the pulsing frequency differently affects the metastable density in a dust-free and in a dusty plasma. For large pulsing frequencies (≥ 7 kHz), the metastable density in presence of dust is smaller than in the continuous-wave discharge, contrary to the dust-free case. Our model shows that the collection of electrons by dust particles causes the faster variation of the effective electron  temperature leading to the lower metastable density. Using a 1D model we describe the plasma properties during the off-period (afterglow) also. The charge of a dust particle and the forces affecting the dust particle are studied for different neutral gas pressures and dust radii. It is found that at long afterglow times, the electric force affects more essentially the dust particle than the ion drag force. These results on dusty pulsed plasmas are relevant to many applications involving nonstationary plasmas containing impurities such as those for synthesis of novel nanomaterials.

AB  - Resveratrol, polyphenol from stilbene family, has demonstrated beneficial effects on human health in numerous studies. Among these effects are cardioprotective, anti-cancer, neuroprotective, antimicrobial and other. In vivo, application of this phytochemical often lacks significant results. This is mainly because of its poor bioavailability, caused by low water solubility, sensitivity to light, oxygen and pH change, and high reactivity. Micro- and nanoformulations of resveratrol have been described to highly improve bioavailabiliy. However, there are limitations to this approach, such as demanding synthesis process, necessity of expensive or toxic chemicals, or poor loading capacity. We have used a simple physicochemical solvent-non solvent method to synthetise additive-free, stabile and uniform elongated resveratrol micro- and nanoparticles (RES-particles). The drying conditions were varied to examine their influence on the morphological characteristics of resveratrol particles. Differential effects of drying at ambient, low, and elevated temperature as well as effects of centrifugation and stability of RES-particle suspension during the time were documented. RES-particles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and optical microscopy. Biocompatibility of RESparticles was preliminary assessed through MTT toxicity assay.

The choosing of suitable carriers is one of the critical points in the development of microencapsulated powder with the desired physicochemical properties.The extract of the willow gentian roots was spray-dried using different carriers (maltodextrin (MD) and whey protein (WP)at concentrations of 20, 40, and 60%; pectin (P), starch (S), and gelatin (G) at concentrations of 2.5, 5, and 7.5%).The aim of this study was to examine the ability of the obtained powdersto dissolveand absorb water.For this purpose, the values of water solubility (WSI) and water absorption index (WAI) were determined.WSI is a measure of the powder degradation and dissolving in water, while WAI represents an indicator of water absorption ability. It is desirable that instant tea powders show high WSI and low WAI values.WSI values ranged from 71.15% (7.5% P) to 91.94% (7.5% G) indicating good powder disintegration properties. Concentration-dependent decrease in WSI values was observed for WP, P and S, while the opposite trend was observed in the case of MD.The carrier-free powdershowed relatively low WAI value (13.32%). Powders with 20% MD and 5% S showed slightly lower WAI values (12.77 and 12.72%, respectively). On the other hand, powders with 5 and 7.5% P showed remarkably high WAI values of 91.59 and 91.49%, respectively. A concentration-dependent increase in WAI was observed in powders encapsulated withMD and WP.All encapsulated powders showed acceptable disintegration properties (high WSI), while in terms of water absorption (low WAI) powders with 20% MD and 5% S were the most suitable.

AB  - Synthesis of monosized and spherical Up-Converting NanoParticles (UCNPs) with biocompatible surface are of a great interest because of their potential application in biomedicine as biomarkers or drug delivery systems. Among different synthesis routes reported in the literature, a hydro/solvo thermal method is consider to be most potential one for scaling-up due fact that is simple and economically cost-effective. In this work the synthesis of NaY0.65Gd0.15F4:Yb,Er UCNPs were performed through chitosan assistant solvothermal synthesis at 200oC. Variation of precursors concentration, type of solvent and synthesis time were performed in order to explore their influence on the structural, morphological and optical properties of the UCNPs. The XRD analysis showed that with a smaller surplus of fluoride ions the formation of Y0.65Gd0.15F4:Yb,Er orthorhombic phase occurs, while the increase of fluoride content or reaction time leads to NaY0.65Gd0.15F4:Yb,Er cubic phase formation. Along with it, the changes of UCNPs morphology from spindle to spherical shape is detected. All samples emitintense green emission due to the (2H11/2, 4S3/2) → 4I15/2electronic transitions, after been excited with infrared light (λ=978 nm).

AB  - In this work we present new up-conversion materials, consisted of SrGd2O4 matrix co-doped with different Yb3+ (1, 2.5 and 5 at%) and constant Er3+ (0.5 at%) concentrations, prepared by gycine-assisted combustion method. X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) showed that assynthesized nanoparticles have orthorhombic structure (Pnma), assigned to the JCPDS Card No:01-072-6387. Rietveld refinement indicated a decrease in the size of the unit cell, lattice parameters, and cell volume, due to successful doping of Yb3+ and Er3+ ions into the matrix. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed that obtained nanostructure is composed of agglomerated nanoparticles, while energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) confirmed uniform distribution of all constituting elements in them. Up-conversion (UC) luminescence spectra measured in function of laser pumping power indicated that two-photon UC process is established in nanoparticles as a result of the trivalent erbium f-f electronic transitions: there are two green emission bands at 523 and 551 nm (2H11/2, 4S3/2 → 4I15/2) and a red emission band at 661 nm (4F9/2 → 4I15/2). The rise of Yb3+ concentration from 1 to 5 at% provokes a considerable change of the green to red ratio which indicates the possibility to optimize the color output.

AB  - In the supplement, a few audio records in a time duration of about 1-3 min, which are acquired during experiments performed on skull head #7587, are given. The signals have been on-line processed by TIFOS system and recorded by an HP notebook audiocard without any frequency equalizing. The sound pressure level was measured by Bruel & Kjaer 2250 sound meter (dBA, slow). The sound of piano and violin in Schubert’s Rondo in Fig. S1a are of high fidelity. High frequency tones in the aria from “La-Traviata” performed by famous Russian-Austrian operatic soprano Anna Netrebko (Fig. S1d) are also very clear and dynamic. The famous speech of Martin Luther King (Fig. S1b) is completely intelligible, as well as the resignation speech of former British prime minister Theresa May (Fig. S1c). The individual characteristics of the well-known voices are easily recognizable.

AB  - In this paper, we present the results of an experimental study about a novel fiber optical vibrometer, aimed to be used as a totally implantable fiber-optic microphone for hearing aids. The sensor head, implanted inside the human cadaver middle ear, detects the amplitude of the incus vibrations, which are produced by an external acoustical source. The probe beam of coherent vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) radiation is directed to the incus and the phase-modulated reflected beam is captured and demodulated. The problem of interferometric fading was solved using two quasi-quadrature signals, passively produced by the 3 × 3 single-mode fiber-optic coupler, processed by a special embedded algorithm. The implanted optoelectronic module works with very low-power consumption, performs real-time signal processing and outputs an analogue signal proportional to the incus vibration. The amplitude of the incus vibrations at different sound pressure levels (SPL) from 40 to 90 dB and at frequencies from 100 Hz to 10 kHz were measured by the implanted system. The system was evaluated on five cadaver skulls. The measured amplitudes were in the range of 1 pm to 5 nm, depending on the subjected skull and the applied sound pressure.

AB  - Praćenje pojave i brzine korozije, nastanak termičkih oksida na površini metalnih delova eletroenergetskog postrojenјa, kao i način njihovog otklanjanja na način koji je tehnološki pogodan, ekonomski pristupačan i ekološki opravdan prikazan je u ovom tehničkom rešenju Ispitivanjem je ustanovljeno da su metalni delovi na kojima se javlja korozija izrađeni od na nerđajućeg čelika AISI 304, pa je pojava korozije i termičkih oksida praćena je u odnosu na to, kao i sastav prašine sa kojom su metalni delovi u kontaktu. Pojava termičkih oksida na površini nerđajućih čelika posledica je povišene temperature na mestu zavarivanja metalnih delova.
Merena je vrednost pH oba rastvora: etalonskog i zasićenog rastvoru prašine iz pogona.
Sastav uzoraka prašine određen je FTIR metodom, pa su na osnovu prisutnih jona u rastvoru definisana ostala ispitivanja.
Određivan je korozioni potencijal Ekor, vrednost otpora polarizacije Rp, kao i gustina struje korozije jkor. Sva ispitivanja nerđajućeg čelika u etalonskom rastvoru i u zasićenom rastvoru prašine iz pogona firme naručioca, rađena su za 1 sat i u toku 25 dana.
Kao rezultat svih istražoivanja, date su tehnološke preporuke i način otklanjanja korozije i termičkih oksida.
Rešenje je prodato naručuicu u toku 2020.godine, a od januara 2021.godine primenjeno u postrojenju naručioca, ELNOS BL d.o.o., koji su izjavom potvrdili primenu ovog tehničkog rešenja u svom poslovanju.
AB  - Monitoring the occurrence and rate of corrosion, the formation of thermal oxides on the surface of metal parts of the power plant, as well as the method of their elimination in a way that is technologically suitable, economically affordable and environmentally justified is shown in this technical solution. It has been established that the metal elements affected by corrosion were made from stainless steel AISI 304. Accordingly, the occurrence of corrosion and thermal oxides was monitored based on the material and the composition of the dust with which the metal parts are in contact. The emergence of thermal oxides on the surface of stainless steels is a consequence of the elevated temperature at the welding site.
The pH value of both solutions was measured: standard and saturated solution of dust from the plant. The composition of the dust samples was determined by FTIR. The other tests were defined based on the ions present in the solution.
The corrosion potential, the value of the polarization resistance, as well as the corrosion current density were determined. All tests of stainless steel in the standard solution and in the saturated solution of dust were performed for one hour within a span of 25 days.
Technological recommendations on how to eliminate corrosion and thermal oxides are provided.
The solution has been applied since January 2021 by ELNOS BL d.o.o.

AB  - The cytotoxicity of amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) and chitosan lactate (ChOL) multifunctional and hybrid composite coatings on MRC-5 human lung fibroblast cell line was elucidated. ACP/TiO2 and ACP/TiO2/ /ChOL were deposited onto Ti by a novel in situ anodization/anaphoretic process at constant voltage. Cytotoxicity tests showed that there was no significant decrease in the survival of healthy MRC-5 cells exposed to composite samples without chitosan lactate, while there was an increase in the number of viable cells in the sample containing ChOL. These findings show that there was improved cell proliferation, differentiation and cell viability in the ChOL-containing sample, which makes ACP/TiO2/ChOL coating a good candidate for applications in medicine and stomatology.

The lack of interoperability significantly increases the costs of smart metering system implementation for distribution system operators, especially the costs of purchasing new equipment. The replacement, cleanup and maintenance of electricity meters produced by different manufacturers, which are not interoperable, are also much more complex and expensive. Furthermore, without the interoperability, the system cannot be observable, i.e. the observability exists only for some particular segments of the system. This prevents many functionalities of distribution management system. In terms of interoperability, smart metering systems have gone through four different stages. A comparison of the system implementation costs for these four stages is presented for distribution system operator of Serbia.

This prevents many functionalities of distribution management system. In terms of interoperability, smart metering systems have gone through four different stages. A comparison of the system implementation costs for these four stages is presented for distribution system operator of Serbia.",

AB  - Recent European Green Deal includes decision to become carbon neutral and even carbon negative region in order to tackle the climate crisis. Main technical challenge and a key factor in techno-economic analysis of the energy system of the future, based on variable renewable energy sources, is their variable production and its integration. In order to deal with this problem in long-term energy planning, different approaches have been tried, focusing on overcapacity, storage capacities and sectors coupling with heating and transport. In this research, different flexibility options, storage and demand response technologies are modelled on a national energy systems level. With the case study area modelled in EnergyPLAN model, the goal of the research is to show how each flexibility option influences the economically feasible generation capacities of renewable energy sources, storage technologies and demand response in order to reach a certain share of renewable energy in final energy consumed. To follow the numerous possible configurations of the system, flexibility index for each option and a flexibility vector for each scenario are introduced. Results show which flexibility options play key role in important steps of energy transition to 70%, 80%, 90% and 100% RES energy system.

AB  - Fayalite Fe2SiO4 is synthesized by the solid-state reaction without ball milling. The obtained powder is further structurally and electrochemically examined. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) showed that microsized powder is obtained. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) pattern is used for both phase identification and crystal structure Rietveld refinement. The structure is refined in the orthorhombic Pbnm space group. Mössbauer spectroscopy revealed traces of Fe3+ impurity. The bond valence mapping method is applied for the first time on Fe2SiO4 framework. It shows isolated, non-connected isosurfaces of constant E(Li), which further supports the assumptions of the conversion reactions. Electrochemical performances are investigated through galvanostatic cycling, cyclic voltammetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Ex-situ XRD and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analyses are combined to monitor phase change after galvanostatic cycling and to reveal the working mechanism during electrochemical lithiation.

AB  - Nucleation of minerals in the presence of additives is critical for achieving control over the formation of solids in biomineralization processes or during syntheses of advanced hybrid materials. Herein, we investigated the early stages of Fe(III) (oxy)(hydr)oxide formation with/without polyglutamic acid (pGlu) at low driving force for phase separation (pH 2.0 to 3.0). We employed an advanced pH-constant titration assay, X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis with mass spectrometry, Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. Three stages were observed: initial binding, stabilization of Fe(III) pre-nucleation clusters (PNCs), and phase separation, yielding Fe(III) (oxy)(hydr)oxide. The data suggest that organic–inorganic interactions occurred via binding of olation Fe(III) PNC species. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analyses revealed a plausible interaction motif and a conformational adaptation of the polypeptide. The stabilization of the aqueous Fe(III) system against nucleation by pGlu contrasts with the previously reported influence of poly-aspartic acid (pAsp). While this is difficult to explain based on classical nucleation theory, alternative notions such as the so-called PNC pathway provide a possible rationale. Developing a nucleation theory that successfully explains and predicts distinct influences for chemically similar additives like pAsp and pGlu is the Holy Grail toward advancing the knowledge of nucleation, early growth, and structure formation.

As-spun fibers were characterized by TG/DTA, Scanning Electron Microscopy and FT-IR spectroscopy analysis. X-ray diffraction and FT-IR spectroscopy analysis confirmed the formation of nickel manganite with a cubic spinel structure, while N2 physisorption at 77 K enabled determination of the BET specific surface area as 25.3 m2/g and (BJH) mesopore volume as 21.5 m2/g. The material constant (B) of the nanocrystalline nickel manganite fibers applied by drop-casting on test interdigitated electrodes on alumina substrate, dried at room temperature, was determined as 4379 K in the 20–50 °C temperature range and a temperature sensitivity of −4.95%/K at room temperature (25 °C). The change of impedance with relative humidity was monitored at 25 and 50 °C for a relative humidity (RH) change of 40 to 90% in the 42 Hzπ1 MHz frequency range. At 100 Hz and 25 °C, the sensitivity of 327.36 ± 80.12 kΩ/%RH was determined, showing that nickel manganite obtained by electrospinning has potential as a multifunctional material for combined humidity and temperature sensing.

AB  - Moving from fossil fuels toward renewable resources of energy has a worldwide consensus. Solar energy alone can satisfy all our energy requirements since the earth receives 725 ZJ of energy from the sun each year while total human energy consumption in 2019 was 0.584 ZJ. The 2010s are highlighted as a transitional decade when the photovoltaic conversion industry transformed from a subsidized to a profitable energy sector. While photovoltaic energy conversion is a clean process, technologies for producing photovoltaic materials and solar panels affect the environment. The utilization of photovoltaic materials with low impact on the environment during the entire life cycle will mark the beginning of the sustainable transition toward 100% clean renewable energy sources in a sustainable manner. Thus far, only perovskite compounds have the potential to satisfy these requirements because of their theoretical conversion efficiencies, ease of synthesis, production scalability, adaptability, and comparability to existing photovoltaic systems. In this article, the rise of the photovoltaic industry in the last decade is shown and requirements in further transition from renewable to clean sources of renewable energy are foreseen.
