тако и на педагошком и просвјетном нивоу, Јелица Беловић
Бернаџиковска је дала допринос и у области народног музичког
стваралаштва који је широј јавности мање познат. Кроз различите
преписке, писма, разгледнице, рукописе и сарадње остварене са
(страним) истраживачима, поготово аустријским етнографом и
филологом Фридрихом С. Краусом, могуће је ишчитати доприносе
наведене ауторке на пољу истраживања народне усмене књижевности
и народне музичке традиције Срба и других Јужних Словена, исказаних
кроз вокално-инструменталну форму пјевања уз гусле. У овом раду
биће наглашен научноистраживачки рад Беловић Бернаџиковске у
ширем етномузиколошком контексту, значајном за фолклористику
и друге области, као рефлексија на таква истраживања с краја 19. и
почетка 20. вијека., Known in the world of folkloristics, both at the ethnographic and literary levels,
as well as at the pedagogic and educational levels, Jelica Belović Bernadžikovska
made a contribution in the field of folk music tradition, which is lesser-known to the
general public. Through various correspondences, letters, postcards, manuscripts,
and collaboration with (foreign) researchers, especially the Austrian ethnographer
and philologist Friedrich S. Krauss, it is possible to read the contributions of the
aforementioned author in the Serbs’ and other South Slavs’ folk oral literature and folk
music traditions research field, expressed through the vocal-instrumental form of singing
with the accompaniment of gusle. In this paper, the scientific research work of Belović-
Bernadžikovska will be emphasized in a wider ethnomusicological context, significant

for folkloristics and other fields, as a reflection on such research from the late 19th and the
early 20th centuries. The changes that took place in the early 20th century on the political,
social, and cultural levels enabled women to penetrate the previously inaccessible and
deprived diverse areas for their own personal success, public activity, activism, politics,
professional training, and to step out of the community where they lived and worked. In
the field of music folklore, more specifically Jelica’s basic interest through the practice
of singing with the accompaniment of gusle, she made a “step forward” into the related
branches of folkloristics that were close to her. It is not known what the basic principle
of choosing the narrator, the repertoire and the purpose of recording was, i.e., more
detailed methodology and what would be useful for her research and (or) the “mode” of
forwarding the material. However, what can be concluded on the basis of the analyzed
material is that there are basic ethnographic work, positivist attitudes, and romantic
views on music folklore.",
