abstract = "The paper treats the Slavonic translation of the anti-Muslim and
anti-Jewish polemical treatises of the Byzantine emperor John VI Cantacuzene (ca.
1295–1383; Emperor 1347–1354), and especially the quotations from the Psalms. The
original Greek work was written in the seventh decade of the 14th century, the Slavonic
translation shortly afterwards, probably about 10 or 15 years later. Four Slavonic
manuscripts have been preserved, one from the 14th century, one from the 15th century,
one from the 15th or 16th century, and one from the year 1591. Two are written in the
Serbian redaction of Church Slavonic, and two are written in Middle Bulgarian, but with
considerable traces of Serbian exemplars. This fact and the linguistic characteristics
of the copies make it probable that the text was translated in Serbia. The numerous
quotations from the Psalter have predominantly undergone the Athonite redaction
that originated at the end of the 13th century and in the first half of the 14th century. The
Slavonic translation of the works of John Cantacuzene is a significant witness for the
spread of the Athonite redaction of the Holy Scripture during the 14th century., Рад обрађује словенски превод полемичких антимуслиманских и антијеврејских расправа византијског цара Јована VI Кантакузина (око 1295–
1383; цар 1347–1354) и посебно њихове псаламске цитате. Грчки изворник био
је написан у седмој деценији XIV века, а словенски превод убрзо након тога,
вероватно десет или петнаест година касније. Очувала су се четири словенска
преписа, два српска, један из XIV и други из XV века, и два бугарска, старији
из XV/XVI века и из 1591. године, мада оба са јасним траговима српског
оригинала. Ова чињеница и низ језичких особина дају повода да се претпостави
да је текст био преведен у Србији. Многобројни псаламски цитати били су
кориговани према атонској/светогорској редакцији, која је настала крајем
XIII и у првој половини XIV века. Словенски превод Кантакузинових списа
важан је доказ ширења атонске редакције Светог писма током XIV века.",
