AB - Being a inal part of our tri-partite designed study3, this treatise will closed a wide
discussion about the foundational role of narrative in constructing some linguistic
items, or more precisely, in reconstructing motivational base for structuring traditional
botanical terms within which lies folklore patches of the so-called botanical myths
relected through the South Slavic traditional ritual lyric poems. The main goal of the
integral study was to present new approaches for examining the processes of creating
traditional botanical names primarily considered in the light of modern linguistic
research as concept-oriented terms. Yet, the theoretical aim of the study was not to engage
in any kind of theoretical research in respect to those complex mental mechanisms
that activate the creative and intellectual process of development of a narrative itself.
Its theoretical aim is actually relected in practical application of narrative theory in order to point out that the generally accepted opinion about the extremely small number
of occurrences of those traditional botanical names that indicate the mythological
connection between certain plants with pagan deities and cults arose from the lack of
complete understanding myth function as a form of narrative and its close relationship
with language. Detail linguistic analysis found on a multidisciplinary approach revealed
us that there is indeed a system in using the semantic elements from the cited domain(s),
and consequently that the adoption of lexemes corresponds to conditionalties contained
both in physical and in nonphysical phaenomena.
do danas nisu bili predmet ozbiljnijih terminološko-leksikoloških studija.
