следњим деценијама у француском језику именује србијска! покрајина Косо-
во и Метохија и њени становници. Преглед употребе речених онима указује
на круцијалне елементе интернационалног лингвистичког инвентара полити-
чки најутицајнијих западних земаља које на једном делу територије Републи-
ке Србије желе да успоставе суверенитет тзв. републике косово и да произведу
још једну тзв. модерну западнобалканску и евроиску нацију – тзв. косоваре.
Истиче се улога и значај језичке политике у спровођењу геополитичких
циљева поменутог дела међународне политичке заједнице., There had been several established lexical varieties for naming Kosovo and
Metohia and its inhabitants in the French language till the latest local conflicts
in this Serbian province. Different registers of French, as well as descriptive and
bilingual dictionaries published by the last decade of the 20th century, list the
following equivalents for the administrative horonym Kosovo and Metohia and its
ethnics: le Kosovo (and le Kossovo), la région de Kosovo-Metohija (and le Kosmet), la Province de Kos(s)ovo-et-Métochie; les habitants (originares) du Kosovo, les
Kosoviens, les Kosovais, les Kosovois. New lexical units which name this province
and its inhabitants have been formed in the last two decades and these are borrowed
words from the Albanian language: le Kosova and Kosovar, Kosovare. The loan word
Kosovar is used to denote members of all six ethnic groups in Kosovo and Metohia
(les Kosovars, and to distinguish between ethnic groups: les Kosovars albanais, les
Kosovars serbes, les Kosovars bosniaques etc.). Consequently, Kosmet citizens are
categorized as a nation, and this part of the Republic of Serbia is tagged as a state.
Accordingly, this language tool is being used to advocate for the so called “Republic
of Kosovo” and “new Balkan and European nation of Kosovars” in the political
and military circles. However, the national and linguistic policy of the Republic of
Serbia is characterized by irresponsible use of the loan word Kosovar (which has
a devastating effect on Serbian national and state objectives) in both international
and domestic colloquial communication. Furthermore, the Serbs themselves are
uncritical towards this segment of international linguistic manipulation.",
