Транзиција и обичајни живот Срба у Темишвару

Abstract

У раду се разматра трансформација обичаја Срба у Темишвару под утицајем појединих транзиционих процеса (реафирмација верске и етничке припадности, промена односа према мањинама и нагласак на мултикултурализму) у румунском друштву, као и улога и значењe нових и/или старих – модификованих обичаја у јавној и приватној сфери.

Transition as a process of transformation from a dictatorship and planned economy into a democratic, pluralistic society and market economy, has happened in Romania after the1989 revolution. The process is not over yet, even though Romania was admitted into EU in 2007. This paper analyzes several transitional processes, such as reaffirmation of religious and ethnic membership, and changes towards minorities and multiculturalism- and their influences on customary life of the Serbs in Timisoara. The paper accentuates the roles and meanings of new and/or old altered customs in the life of an individual, family and community, within ethnic and social spheres. The basis for this analyses is the fieldwork performed in the Serbian minority community in Timisoara, in 2002-2006, along with literature and magazine Naša Reč, published in Timisoara in Serbian.
