Певање епских песама уз гусле са асинхроном сегментацијом музичког и поетског тока

Abstract

Рад је посвећен певању епских песама уз гусле које карактерише пауза након деветог слога (десетерца), односно, асинхрона сегментација музичког и поетског тока. Представљени су и анализирани звучни снимци, као извори који омогућавају потпунију спознају оваквог певања. Како сама форма није логична из аспекта наративне функције жанра, у циљу спознавања њене функционалности сагледана је у контексту српског и словенског музичког фолклора. С обзиром на то да је овакво певање некада било широко распрострањено, а у пракси савремених гуслара се може чути сасвим ретко, разматрани су и фактори његовог убрзаног нестајања. Велику одговорност за негативно квалификовање и потискивање „старинског” стила, па и „певања са преношењем последњег слога у наредни стих” имају градске средине, кругови образованих, културна „елита”, на основу чега ауторка подстиче на промишљање о позиционирању савремених научника као ауторитета у односу на гусларство и епику данас и њихову одрживост за будућност.

Singing epic songs after the model characterized by a pause between the ninth and tenth decasyllabic syllable was in the folkloristic literature from the early 20th century referred to as one of the attributes of a ”quaint” style. More recent field research proved this fashion of syllabic shaping to be rarely used today, and only for groups of fewer verses. Archival sound recordings confirmed that this manner of poetic formation was used in longer durations and as a dominant concept for shaping of an entire song. The asymmetric segmentation of the musical and poetic flow hinders the comprehension of poetic content, and is thus illogical from the perspective of narrative function of the genre. Certain similarities, evident in forms of ritual and other narrative genres in Serbian and Slavic folklore, implicate the possibility of asymmetric segmentation as yet another trace of the ancient magical function of epics and independency of the guslar’s expression musical component. Educated people and the urban cultural ”elite” held the key role for its rapid eradication from musical practice by prioritizing poetic content, and thus influencing guslars to subordinate musical segmentation to the poetic. According to this experience, this author underscores the importance, but also the sensitive nature of a possible inclusion of authoritative researchers in cultural and educational undertakings concerning contemporary guslar practice, as a representative constituent of Serbian intangible cultural heritage in need of preservation.
