Допринос Александра Соловјева истраживању и разумевању континуитета у српској историји

Abstract

Alexander V. Soloviev (Serbin: Александар Соловјев, Russian: Александр Васильевич Соловьeв, 1890–1971) was a Yugoslav scholar of Russian origin, professor of the history of Slavic law at the Schools of Law in Belgrade and Sarajevo. In the focus of his interwar works was medieval Serbian legislation, or „Dušan’s legislation”. To be particularly singled out is his great contribution to the historical study of the Code of Dušan (Skopje, 1349, Serres, 1354). Soloviev does not see the alterations made in the transcriptions and rewritings of the Code of Dušan as corruptions of the original text but as evidence of its continued use and amendment in response to changing living circumstances in the period between the Ottoman conquest of the last remaining fragments of the medieval Serbian state and the restoration of statehood in the nineteenth century. Several of Solovjev’s views and hypotheses have been verified by subsequent research.
