dc.description.abstract	The paper is based on an interview with a Bayash participant, who has been living in a Paris suburb for 30 years. The discussion was conducted in Romanian and lasted approximately 30 minutes. The author analyzes his discourse regarding the celebration of the kurban ritual in France, trying to answer the question: "What has been lost and what has been transformed, as far as the practice of kurban is concerned, from Romania to France, via Serbia?"	sr
