abstract = "In this paper the special attention in the modelling has been given to the impact of the connection line and market conditions to the feasibility of the multi-energy microgrid with the ecotourism purpose. Microgrids for ecotourism purposes have specific hourly energy demands, including
sectors of heat, electricity, and transport. These sectors integration has been strongly practiced for achieving the synergy effect and decrease of the total costs. Therefore the HOMER software tool has been used for simulation, optimization and sensitivity analysis of the microgrid for the pre-feasibility study of the resort near Trebinje operating at open market conditions. In the analysis the attention will be for the first time given to the connection to the external (national) power grid with market capability. This pre-feasibility study will be followed with the design of the microgrid (distribution network). The results show the pre-feasibility solutions of the optimal flexible microgrid configuration for the case of Trebinje ecotourism resort. The effect of the fuels savings to the cost function changes is also shown.",
